It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Jim McLennan, a friendly member of BMSMGC for almost 40 years.
Jim’s entire life involved sports as he played and coached soccer, played hockey and baseball to name a few but he will always be remembered as a golf enthusiast. Whether it was playing golf or watching PGA tournaments, he was playing up until his 93rd birthday, even scoring his age or better on a few occasions! He really enjoyed playing with good players, as it challenged himself to play well and he appreciated other golfers’ great shots as much as his own. Many will miss his warm smile and gentle manner while enjoying a friendly round on Burnaby Mountain. Forever in our hearts.
While there will be no formal service, a celebration of life will be held later in the year. Details will be posted at a later date so you may share your memories with Jim’s friends and family.
